To know this we must know how many hours do Rottweiler’s puppies sleep? Usually, young puppies sleep around 18 to 20 hours a day. In one moment they will be very frisky and the other moment they will get tired and go back to sleep again. Throughout this period they try to learn everything and explore new things. During the growing stage, they are expected to sleep maximum so they can get proper rest.
Although they have high sleep requirement, they are quite active and agile. So you should notice their sleep schedule and behavior, if you find out they are behaving too lethargic while being awake then you should consult the Vet.
Also, you should keep in mind that you should not disturb your puppy while sleeping. By disturbing the puppy you are actually stopping him from taking rest. As puppies are in the growing stage of their life it is natural and very important to sleep according to their requirement.

Change in the season could be the reason for the increased sleep of your rottweiler’s puppy. Usually, dogs sleep more in the winter season. Lifestyle could also affect the sleeping schedule of your puppy. It is obvious that if a dog is active he would get tired and would eventually sleep more than an inactive dog. If you play with your Rottweiler more and train him regularly then he will sleep more to get more rest.
Health issues that could cause illness and it can make your puppy sleep more than normal. You could find out if your puppy is healthy or not by looking at early signs or symptoms. The symptoms could include loss of appetite, fever, restlessness, behavioral problems, and abnormal gait. If you find out something abnormal then you should immediately consult your Vet.
Some of the health issues which could make dog sleepy are kennel cough, liver problems, parvovirus, and distemper. To avoid such health issues you should take your puppy for regular health checkups.

Nutritional deficiency could also make your dog sleep more. Feeding a proper diet is very essential especially in the growth stage of a Rottweiler. An improper diet could also affect the growth of your Rottweiler, lead to weakness and bone deformities. Drugs or Vaccination
