Proper Training and good Socialization

Training and Socialization are two important things for improving your dog’s behavior since Doberman is considered an aggressive dog breed, both of these are very important for them. Many Dobermans are aggressive towards strangers and other pets this dangerous behavior is a result of poor socializing.

Doberman needs to be socialized from an early age because when they grew up it becomes very difficult to introduce them to new people and other pets. A well-socialized dog will be friendly and affectionate by nature. Proper Training is as much important as Socialization you have to learn basic commands to your dog and make sure that your dog obeys your commands.

It is easy to train a Doberman because of their intelligence but they have to be habituated to consistent training from their initial age because once they are grown up they will be stubborn and will not follow your commands, Also it will become really tough to train such dog.

Exercising and Workout for Dobermans

As they are considered very energetic dogs daily exercising is necessary for them, they can run at the speed of 32 mph which means they are extremely athletic and agile. You can take your Doberman for hiking, playing, long walks, jogging, running, and workout. They can be a great workout partner. Just as in humans, there are many advantages of exercising for dogs. Exercising will help your dog to be healthy and also avoid some behavioral issues like aggression and destructive behavior.

You can exercise your dog while playing, you can play various games with them which both of you can enjoy, such as Fetching, Frisbee toss, tug of war, and flirt pole.

If you have two Dobermans or two dogs in your house it may be possible that they can do exercises on their own by running after each other, chasing, and playing with each other. A Doberman can exercise for more than one hour. The minimum exercise duration that is necessary for them is about 25 to 35 minutes and at least two times walk a day. Exercising with your dog is a simple and best way to keep your dog and yourself fit.

Giving your Doberman a Healthy diet

A healthy diet is necessary for all animals, It is the most important thing for being healthy. A healthy and nutritionally rich diet can also avoid many health problems.  So You have to notice that you are providing a nutritious and healthy diet to your dog.

You can give them good dry dog food if it is nutritionally perfect for him by asking your Vet just be sure that it doesn’t contain any substance to which your dog is allergic.

Their diet should be rich in protein and vitamins and contains the proper amount of Carbs and fats in it. Keep in mind you have to give them a high quality of diet not a high quantity of diet. Overfeeding is also bad for your dog’s health. You have to discuss the proper diet routine of your dog with your Vet.

Routine Medical checkups and proper vaccinations for your Doberman

Since Dobermans are prone to some health problems and diseases it is very important for your dog to get a routine monthly checkup. Regular Checkups and Proper Vaccinations can avoid many dangerous and harmful diseases which can not only harm your dog but also cause you a huge medical expense.

Doberman Pinschers are prone to many diseases or health issues including Cardiomyopathy, Wobblers Syndrome, Von Willebrand’s Disease (VWD), Hip Dysplasia, Gastric Torsion, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and Hypothyroidism. As Prevention is better than cure so you have to pay attention that your Doberman has completed all the necessary Vaccination courses according to his age.  Some of the necessary Vaccinations are Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Coronavirus, and Parainfluenza.
