Intolerance to cold weather
Yes, it is true. Due to the short coat and less body fat of Dobermans, they are not capable to tolerate extremely cold weather. Dobermans are not perfect for areas with cold climates. During winters it is good to keep them inside rather than outside and keep your dog warm to avoid health issues. You should avoid getting a Doberman if you live in an area with extremely cold weather.
High Training and Socializing needs
Due to the high energy level of Doberman pinschers, they require consistent training. Also, in order to avoid aggressive behavior, Dobermans need to be properly trained and socialized. Not suitable for too small kids
Doberman Pinschers are considered to be very intelligent and loyal, still, they may be dangerous for too small kids because small kids don’t know how to behave with dogs. It would be a mistake to underestimate Dobermans because they are very energetic and have a strong bite force which can easily harm a child. There may be chances that a dog would hurt a kid unintentionally. So it is advised to avoid getting a Doberman if you have small kids in your house.
